East End COAD

The East End Community Organizations Active in Disaster (COAD) is a humanitarian association of member organizations who represent a diverse group of highly competent organizations that provide a wide range of skills and services. All dedicated to whole community engagement and recognize that the COAD movement values and practices represent a proven way to build resilient communities. Our dynamic combination of faith-based entities, community-based, community nonprofits, non-governmental organizations (NGOs), government agencies, schools and private sector, which have an ongoing interest in disaster readiness, response, recovery or mitigation, and which may choose to be active in any or all of these phases of disaster this region. The East End COAD’s region is defined as Arrowbear, Bloomington, Blue Jay, Crestline, Colton, Devore, Forest Falls, Grand Terrance, Green Valley Lake, Highland, Loma Linda, Mentone, Redlands, Rialto, Rimforest, Running Springs, San Bernardino, Twin Peaks, and Yucaipa.

The East End COAD will activate during major disasters such as fires and earthquakes. The group works throughout the year to plan strategies to facilitate effective and efficient communications, donations management, and volunteer utilization. This COAD, is one of several regional COADs within San Bernardino County, and is an active participant with San Bernardino County VOAD. It's mission reflects the purpose of that organization.
